On 17 July 2022, SF World NGO organised a clean-up campaign focused mainly on cleaning the beaches. This activity was launched in response to the recurring problem of waste accumulating on our beaches.
Early that day, at 7 a.m., the whole team gathered on Erevan beach. Made up of NGO members and several volunteers, we split into pairs, each assigned a specific area of the beach. Equipped with rubber gloves and bin bags, we got to work and collected a large quantity of waste.
At SF World, we believe we must act together for a sustainable and fair world. It is unfortunate that so many cans and plastic bags were found on the beach even though bins had been installed on site. Our volunteers, who share the same ideal, threw themselves into cleaning up the beach.
At the end of the operation, glad to have played our part in protecting the environment, several volunteers shared their impressions to mark the close of this first campaign.
The day's clean-up campaign helped restore Erevan beach, a popular public recreation spot, to a cleaner state. This SF World initiative is one worth encouraging for a cleaner world.
